"Never Mind"

"How can you sleep when these nights are cold?

How can you survive all alone?

All you need is somebody to care

Somebody who knows the dare

A war inside your head, a battle in your heart

Held together by tape, trying not to fall apart

Clinging to every blade of grass

Feel the sting of every piece of glass

A pain no one can take away

A demon no one can keep at bay

Scars in our hearts and madness in our brain

Oh please God! Take away our pain!

But you don’t hear the whisper in the dark

Don’t see the light on the arc

For where is the light? I am colorblind

For where is the help? I am out of my mind

In this hell I am confined

My prayers have been declined

I don’t fit in with mankind

It’s a flaw in the way I’m designed

I’m so lost, help I can’t find

I’m not in the right frame of mind

Who cares if I’m gone? They left me behind

God help me out of this state of my mind

I’m invincible, my heart fortified

I used to say I need help, now I just say, ‘Never mind’."
